The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategic Committee strives to make the investment profession more representative of society. CFA Society Boston will cultivate a diverse, inclusive, engaged, and supportive network of peers committed to advancing the profession of investment management in an ethical manner.
By implementing the society’s strategic plan, assessing CFA Society Boston’s own organization needs, and influencing industry best practices through collaborative work, the committee will:
Create Society policy statement on best practices critical to advancing professional diversity and lead outreach communicating these positions throughout the profession, specifically through the promotion of the CFA Institute Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Code (USA and Canada).
Create and sustain efforts to recruit non-traditional sources of candidates into the profession, including University relations, student outreach, and a scholarship program.
Expand initiatives to benefit underrepresented groups, encouraging, and supporting their participation in the Society and provide career-building opportunities.
Sustain face-to-face and online forums in the society’s members only community in Connect for discussion relevant to a positive professional experience in investment management.
