The Board of Directors provides strategic leadership and fiduciary oversight for CFA Society Boston. Directors play a critical role in advancing the Society’s strategic priorities and ensuring long-term organizational impact.

Key Responsibilities
 
  • Set strategic direction for CFA Society Boston
  • Provide fiduciary oversight
  • Oversee the chief staff officer
  • Participate in Board committees
  • Be prepared for and attend quarterly Board meetings
  • Represent and promote the Society externally
  • Support programming, partnerships, and speaker development
 
Time and Financial Commitment
 
Time
 
  • Quarterly Board meetings (approximately 2 hours each)
  • 1–2 committees (approximately 2 hours per month)
  • Participation in Connect platform discussions
  • Attendance at Society events (minimum one per quarter, including key in-person flagship events such as the Annual Market Dinner, Annual Meeting, Charter Ceremony, and other major programs)
Financial
 
  • Commitment to financially support the Society through personal or firm sponsorship, or active solicitation of sponsorships from their professional network
 
Qualifications
 
  • CFA Society Boston Charterholder member in good standing
  • 3–5+ years of industry experience
  • Demonstrated leadership, engagement, or governance experience preferred
  • Commitment to advancing the mission and strategic priorities of CFA Society Boston
