Volunteer Opportunity Details

Sign up today to volunteer as a presentation grader for the 2027 Research Challenge.

This challenge is an annual global competition that provides university students with hands-on mentoring and intensive training in financial analysis. Students gain real-world experience as they assume the role of a research analyst.

Graders will independently evaluate each written report using the Research Report Evaluation Form (provided by CFA Society Boston). 
We estimate that there will be 8 - 12 reports to grade and graders will have two weeks to execute on this commitment (January 5 until January 21, 2026).

The CFA Society Boston hosted Research Challenge kicks off on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, 4:00 - 5:00 PM with a virtual meeting. The virtual Subject Company meeting is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, October 27, 2026, 4:00 - 5:00 PM, and the deadline for written reports is January 5, 2027. 

Graders are invited to watch students give their oral presentations which will be on Tuesday, February 9, 2027.
